Google builds new fitness service Google Fit

The search giant's Google Fit service will work with Adidas, Nike, RunKeeper and other companies.

Google said that its new platform called Google Fit will help users record and track their fitness goals across different platforms and wearable devices.
Ellie Powers, Google Play’s product manager, said that Fit avoids the complexity of dealing with multiple sources. She also said that the new service, which has gained recognition, will provide developers with a big data stream to get detailed information about user health. This will also help you to create a more comprehensive application.
The service follows the Apple HealthKit service. Earlier this month when the product was unveiled, Apple said it designed the service to track a variety of information, including fitness goals and health details.

With a large number of health-related gadgets entering the market, health has become the focus of the technology industry. Samsung has its Gear Fit, and Jawbone has its Up brand activity tracker. Google said that it designed the service to be a central repository of applications so that they can share information.
