Nanjing University released the first naked-eye 3D microscope in China

Recently, the Nanjing University Nantong Materials Engineering Technology Research Institute, a joint venture between Nanjing University and the local government, unveiled its latest breakthroughs, including six innovative products such as the world-leading naked-eye 3D microscope. This remarkable technology is setting new standards in China and even globally.

The naked-eye 3D technology allows users to view three-dimensional images without the need for special glasses, making it more accessible and user-friendly. As the first of its kind in China, this microscope offers high-resolution, high-definition imaging with a strong stereoscopic effect. It can magnify objects as small as 5 mm to the size of an egg, enabling detailed observation of microscopic structures that were previously difficult to examine.

Established in 2010, the Nantong Materials Engineering Technology Research Institute has been dedicated to advancing cutting-edge material technologies and promoting their practical applications in the Nantong region. The institute plays a vital role in transforming research outcomes into real-world solutions, contributing to the growth of the local economy. Today, it operates one of the most comprehensive material microstructure detection platforms in the country, filling a critical gap in high-resolution electron microscopy within Nantong and the broader Yangtze River Delta region.

With ongoing research and development efforts, the institute continues to push the boundaries of material science, supporting both academic innovation and industrial progress. Its achievements not only highlight the potential of nanotechnology but also showcase the power of collaboration between academia and local governments in driving technological advancement.
