From January to August 2014, the rapid growth of sports goods exports in Guangdong Province: 2014-11-18 10:32
According to customs statistics, from January to August 2014, Guangdong exported sports equipment and equipment (hereinafter referred to as sporting goods) to 14.78 billion yuan, an increase of 13.2% over the same period of last year (the same below).

I. The main features of sporting goods exports in Guangdong from January to August 2014

(a) Since April this year, the value of exports has grown rapidly year-on-year. Since April of this year, the monthly export value of sporting goods in Guangdong Province has maintained a double-digit increase. Exports in the month of August were 1.97 billion yuan, an increase of 17.9% year-on-year and an increase of 3.9% month-on-month (below).

(b) Processing trade exports account for half of the country's total. From January to August 2014, Guangdong Province exported 7.44 billion yuan of sports goods by processing trade, down by 10.6%, accounting for 50.4% of the total value of sporting goods exported by Guangdong in the same period, and exporting 4.54 billion yuan by general trade. Significant increase of 34.1%, accounting for 30.7%.

(3) Foreign-invested enterprises are the main exporters, and the export of private enterprises has surged. From January to August 2014, foreign-invested enterprises exported 9.18 billion yuan of sports goods from Guangdong Province, a slight decrease of 3.4%, accounting for 62.1%; private enterprises exported 4.36 billion yuan, a sharp increase of 82.2%, accounting for 29.5%.

(D) mainly exported to the United States, Hong Kong and the European Union. From January to August 2014, Guangdong Province exported 4.68 billion yuan of sporting goods to the United States, a slight drop of 0.6%, accounting for 31.7%; Hong Kong's exports to Hong Kong rose by 35.3% to 23.3%, accounting for 23.9%; and the export to the EU was 2.85 billion yuan. It increased by 15.6%, accounting for 19.3%. Total exports to the above three markets accounted for 74.9%.

Second, the current domestic sporting goods industry is facing the main issues and related recommendations

(1) The low proportion of sports population restricts the development of the sports industry. The survey shows that the proportion of sports population (often taking part in physical exercise) in China is less than 30%, far behind 70% of developed countries. In this state, on the one hand, the physical health of the entire nation is worrying. On the other hand, it is difficult to produce a high level of sports content. This will inevitably constrain the sports consumption and the development of the sports industry. The data shows that in 2013 China's sports industry output value was about 300 billion yuan, accounting for only 0.56% of GDP. In the same period, the US sports industry output value was nearly 500 billion US dollars, accounting for nearly 3% of GDP. It can be seen that the development of China's sports industry is still relatively backward and the development space is huge.

(2) The sports goods industry has developed unbalancedly and faced adjustments within the industry. At present, China's sporting goods industry clusters are mainly concentrated in the eastern coastal open areas. The top five provinces and cities in the production of sporting goods are Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai in turn, accounting for 85% of the country’s total production of sporting goods. The weaker, weaker, stronger and weaker distributions of North and East. Since 2009, the number of sporting goods companies and sporting goods employees in China has generally shown a downward trend, indicating that China's sporting goods companies are in a period of adjustment. Specifically, the number of sportswear and athletic shoes production has declined significantly, and the number of sports equipment and sports protection products with ball and fitness equipment as the mainstay has grown steadily.

It is worth noting that: Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council presided over the executive meeting of the State Council on September 2, 2014 to deploy and accelerate the development of the sports industry and promote the consumption of sports to promote public fitness. The executive meeting sounded a clarion call for deepening the reform of the sports industry. The simple devolution of power will loosen up the sports industry and release a steady stream of development.
