At present, China's medical plastic catheter basically relies on imports. It is reported that the cost of introducing a catheter from abroad at a hospital in Beijing is nearly 300,000 US dollars per year. It can be seen that the research and development of precision technology to produce domestic medical catheters to replace imports has played a positive role in promoting the development of medical technology in China.
In addition to continuous innovations in the pipe industry in terms of process technology, in the formulation modification, the domestic pipe industry has also made great progress in recent years. For example, the cost of PVC pipe is low and the installation technology is mature. The amount of PVC pipe is currently the highest among various plastic pipes, but it is poor in temperature resistance and affected by the weather. This affects its use range and is being used by higher costs. Polyethylene, PPR and other pipe materials are used instead.
