The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine conducted spot checks on the quality of 94 ink products from 51 companies in 11 provinces and cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangdong, Shaanxi and Gansu. The spot check results showed that 69 kinds of qualified, sampling inspection rate of 73.4%, product quality and foreign similar products have a big gap.
The basic situation is as follows: 1 Large-scale enterprises have good product quality, stable quality level and high technical content. Most of the qualified 33 companies are large-scale enterprises. Their excellent equipment and technical strength have reached the international advanced level in the mid-1990s. Advanced technology, a sound management system, most of them passed the ISO9000 series quality system certification. With many varieties and large output, it is the backbone enterprise of China's ink industry and represents the highest quality level of China's current ink products. 2 Some emerging small-scale enterprises have poor product quality, backward technology, and obsolete equipment. Most of them do not implement standards and quality inspection methods, and they do not have the ability to control raw material quality and product quality. 3 Unqualified products are mainly concentrated in the aspects of primary drying, viscosity, fineness, fluidity, and solvent residue, among which the most serious ones are those of excessive residual solvents.
