On January 19th, experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences High-Tech Research and Development Bureau organized experts on the important direction project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Knowledge Innovation Project, “New Ethylene,†jointly undertaken by the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. The industrial application of polymerization catalyst technology was accepted.
During the implementation of this project, important research progress has been made:
1. Invented 4 new high-efficiency olefin polymerization catalysts with independent intellectual property rights and application prospects. Developed and finalized the SST polyolefin catalyst technology with independent intellectual property rights, completed the scale-up synthesis technology and supported technology of the main catalyst (complex), trial production of more than 300kg of supported catalyst, the supported catalyst has a long life and performance meets industrial polymerization Application requirements; completed the optimization of the polymerization process and industrial application test; developed two special materials for high-performance polyolefin resin, product performance reached the assessment index.
2. Complete the design synthesis and structural performance optimization of the two-component catalyst and complete the loading. The catalyst has high activity, and the degree of branching meets the requirements. The 300L kettle polymerization pilot test, product performance test and processing performance research of the bimodal distributed polyethylene composite catalyst have been completed.
3. The project has applied for 18 Chinese invention patents, 2 PCT patents, 6 Chinese invention patents have been authorized, and published 14 papers in internationally renowned journals; trained a group of talents in catalyst design, resin preparation and structural characterization .
The expert group believes that the project has fully completed the tasks and objectives specified in the mission statement, unanimously agreed to pass the acceptance, and recommends that the country give further support to complete industrial development.
