1. Display version: All operating status and error messages will be displayed in the operating state.
2. Menu key: Press this key to enter the control menu.
3. Connection signal light: when this light is on, it indicates that it can receive RIP transmission files.
4. Film-loading signal light: when this light is on, it means that the film has reached the position waiting for exposure.
5. End key: Stop exposure or transmission function.
6. Selection key: Press any one of the two keys to select the function used.
7. Input key: This key is used to input data or eliminate error messages.

FEED is the loading menu, press the enter key, the menu is as follows.

LOAD is the top film, select this item to upload the film to the position to be exposed. SET is also the top film. After selecting this function, the film will be cut off 8 inches and sent to the filming machine or the receiving box, and then the remaining film will be placed on the exposure position. This function is mainly used to remove the lighted part when changing the film. REMOVE is to receive the film, which is to return the film to the position where it can be reloaded. CUT is a cutting piece, cut the part of the film that needs to be cut, and send it to the punching machine or the receiver. Generally, the FT-R5055 phototypesetting machine can automatically cut the film during the development process. When the last exposed film is insufficient for the automatic cutting length (this length is 1.2mm under the condition of ensuring registration accuracy), an operator Manual cutting. CUT-COND can be set to send a certain length of film to the punching machine or take-up clip before cutting. FF is to send the film to the punching machine or the receiver. Generally, press this item to start sending the film. Press the stop button to stop the work.

HDD is the function to organize data in hard disk, press enter key to enter, the menu is as follows. Now the new FT-R5055 no longer uses the hard disk, but uses memory instead, so this item has no effect on the new machine.

OUT is to expose the data received in the hard disk that has not been exposed yet. CLR is to clear all data in the hard disk.

FILM is set for the film. After pressing the enter key to enter, see the menu below.

MF.1 indicates the serial number of the clip. This number is determined by the logo attached to the side of the clip and cannot be modified in the menu. Note that when pasting the logo on the side of the film holder, choose MF1-3. This is the film mode. The film will pass through the front and back buffers to ensure registration accuracy; choose MP1-3 (photographic mode), MD1-3 ( (Silver salt mode), the material does not pass through the two buffers, and registration accuracy cannot be guaranteed. F1 is the parameter type of the film, and the light value of different films can be stored in different parameter types. When changing the film, as long as the parameter type is changed, the light value can be called out and used without readjusting the light value. Only three sets of parameters can be stored in each clip number. The value behind the parameter type indicates the width of the film used. This value requires the user to modify it according to the actual width of the film used, and the machine cannot automatically detect it. 60M indicates the length of the remaining film. After each replacement of the film, this length also needs to be modified by the user.

SPC indicates the gap between the outgoing files. Press the Enter key to display the following menu.

AUTOSPACE refers to the number of gaps between the two files, the user can modify it, but the value range is 10-99mm, can not be set to 0, that is to save the film, no gap between the two files is not enough.

CUT-L is the cutting line. Press the Enter key to display the following menu.

After the cut line item is turned on, a black line will appear between the two output files. This is to facilitate the user to cut the slice, but generally this item does not need to be opened. In the menu that appears after turning OFF to ON to open this item, SPC indicates the distance from the cutting line to the edge of the file, and the numerical value adjustment range is 1-99mm, and WIDTH indicates the width of the cutting line, which can be set to 0.1-3.0mm. In this way, the exposure length of each file is: page size (including page information) + setting space between pages + cutting line space + cutting line width.

LASER stands for laser value. In the use of FT-R5055 imagesetter, the measurement and adjustment of laser value is very important. Press the Enter key to display the following menu.

Taking 1200dpi accuracy as an example, LASER (12, 100) means that the light value at a resolution of 1200dpi is 100, and the accuracy needs to be modified. Just move the cursor to 12, and use the selection key to change, so does the modification of the light value. After selecting the appropriate light value, move the cursor to EXP, expose the film test strip, and then use a densitometer to measure. The exposed film test strip is shown below.

After exposure, a total of seven sets of exposure test strips (only five sets are shown in the figure), the middle set is the fourth set from the top (the third set from the top in the figure) is the exposure test strip under the current light value, From this group, the exposure test strips with current light values ​​of -5, -10, and -15 are in turn, and from this group are the exposure test strips with current light values ​​of +5, +10, and +15. Each set of exposure test strips includes the situation on the ground (100%), 50%, etc. The bottom line of the film indicates the accuracy of the film. One line represents 1000dpi, two lines represent 1200dpi, three lines represent 1500dpi, four lines represent 1800dpi, five lines represent 2400dpi, and six lines represent 3000dpi. The usage of the test strip is to measure the solid density first. Generally, offset printing requires solid density above 4.0, and newspaper printing requires solid density above 3.4. If the field density in several sets of test strips does not meet the requirements, you need to modify the light value to re-expose the test strips. If there is a group that can meet the requirements, select this group of light value input. If there are several groups that meet the requirements, you need to measure the percentage of dots at 50%, and select the light value input closest to 50%. For example, at 1200dpi, the light value is set to 100 to produce a test strip, and the sixth measured from top to bottom meets the condition. At 1200dpi, the light value should be 110, and the light value at 1200dpi can be adjusted to 110. When adjusting the light value, you should pay attention to several points: first, before the light value adjustment, the state of the film processor should be stable, such as adjusting the development time and temperature, etc .; second, the light value of different precisions may not be the same, each precision The light value of the light should be adjusted separately; third, the light value of different brands of film is different, and it needs to be adjusted when replacing the film; fourth, the light value range is 40-300. If the laser head is faulty and needs to be replaced, it is recommended to contact professional maintenance personnel.

VERSION is to query the version of the control version. Press the Enter key to display the following menu.

I / F refers to the version number of the SCSI control version, MCON refers to the version number of the main control version, and DAT refers to the operating parameters of the machine. The version number can only be viewed but not modified.
