First, develop a strict process plan and measures before glueing

With the bookbinding process, it is necessary to re-impose the original film version without milled back allowance to ensure that the layout printing position meets the process requirements. Therefore, in order to ensure the quality of the product, more time and effort should be spent before printing to adjust the layout of each piece of film so that the books can reach the technological requirements. In addition, for individual sheets with large format sheets, if the conventional sheet printing is used, the size of the sheet will be affected due to a slight shortage of the sheet edge after cutting the sheet edge. However, the size of the back-milling amount of the signature is limited by the size of the paper and the layout, and there is a certain limit. If the folding is skewed or if there is a gap between each fold, then the back-page cannot be made during milling. It is easy to produce page drop and other quality problems; if the folding deviation is serious, it will also cause faults such as splicing and trimming, which will not produce a continuous page. The quality of folding links should be strictly controlled, and each fold must be folded and folded to avoid potential problems with subsequent processing. If there is a deviation in the folding, the rework should be processed in time.

3. The quality of the tying and backing process to prevent quality problems caused by poor milling and backing

4. Reasonable mastering of milling back quantity to prevent quality problems caused by improper milling and backing

Milling and backing process is an important part of quality control of glue binding process. Only the “ridges” of the fold line are cut off by the signature, so that the hot melt glue penetrates into each page to ensure that there will not be loose pages or page breaks. Etc. From this point of view, it seems that the more milling back capacity, the better the insurance quality and the better, which is not the case. Because once the milling back load is too high, on the one hand it will increase the work resistance for the milling back knife and slotting knife, which will easily make the knife edge blunt, cause the book back deformation and milling back, so that the back of the book “eats glue” and influences the adhesive fastness. On the other hand, too many milling backs easily break through the bookbinding site. Therefore, under the condition of requiring the signatures to be as tidy as possible, the amount of milling backs should be based on the principle of being able to mill the most pages of signatures. In addition, in order to achieve a better bonding effect, the slots in the outer pages of the signatures are evenly “eaten glue”, and the notches in the milling and backing slots should be “U” shape rather than “V” shape, so as to avoid Page breaks due to less amount of snack glue in the slot. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the proper grasp of the shape of the knife edge when sharpening.

5. Properly use hot melt adhesive to ensure the quality of glue

The factory uses a hot melt adhesive from National Starch Chemical Co., Ltd. When glueing, the temperature of the glue is generally controlled at about 170°C, and the fluidity and viscosity of the glue are relatively normal. If the glue temperature is too high or too low, the glue effect will be affected. For example, the glue temperature is high, but the liquidity of the glue is good, but it is easy to blistering and wire drawing and other ills; the temperature is too low, the glue is not completely melted, and the viscosity is insufficient. Poor flowability is not conducive to uniform coating and bonding. In order to accurately control the glue temperature, we also use the thermometer to measure the glue temperature at any time to prevent the instrument from malfunctioning and make the glue temperature control inaccurate and affect the stability of the glue quality. In addition, in the ordinary operation process, it should also pay attention to check the quality of the glue, for glue containing impurities or due to moisture and other bubbles that produce large bubbles should be cleaned, remove impurities, or replace the new glue to prevent aging and failure due to glial Affect the binding strength of glue binding, and better ensure the quality of glue binding.

6. Turn off the process to prevent wrinkling

In order to prevent wrinkling of the back of the book from affecting the quality of the finished product, the book block of the Qi Qi, the banding, and the back gum should be repeatedly compacted by the press machine so that the book block can achieve a compact and difficult-to-deform process effect. In addition, by adopting padding measures, the paper press of the paper cutter can not be pressed against the back of the book. That is, when cutting, a piece of multi-layer with a suitable area and a thickness of 5 mm or more is placed on a position other than 1 cm from the back side of the book on the top of each stack of books. Cardboard protects the back of the book to prevent creasing.

Third, strengthen quality inspection and control

It is very important to ensure the stability of the quality of glued products and to check and control the entire process of product quality. Quality inspectors should carry out daily quality inspections and spot inspections, start from the source of quality and carefully check the folding, binding, backing, pressing the book, and checking the glue on the machine. If any problems are found, correct them in time. Align the folds and the book block. In the event of a failure, the rework process must be reworked resolutely and be constrained in accordance with the factory's quality management regulations so that the operator's consciousness of quality control is greatly enhanced. Due to the strict quality control of the factory, in the daily inspections and sampling inspections, the finished book has never been found to be loose-leafed, and the glue-binding process quality has achieved a relatively stable effect.

Fourth, some of the quality defects in the glue-binding process need to be eliminated

After adopting the glue-binding process, the factory believes that this process has the advantages of making the back corners of the book square, square, flat, and stable, with good quality and aesthetic appearance. However, it has encountered some problems in the binding process.
