Waste tire recycling will be subject to new law

The issue of how to call for used tires has recently been made. According to the instructions of the relevant leaders of the State Council, the State Economic and Trade Commission decided to formulate the "Administrative Measures for the Recycling of Used Tires" as soon as possible.

Recently, the Department of Resource Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the State Economic and Trade Commission organized a symposium on recycling of used tires. The representatives from China Resources Comprehensive Utilization Association, China Tire Renovation and Utilization Association, China Rubber Industry Association, Tianjin Rubber Industry Research Institute, and some tire renovation companies, rubber powder enterprises and reclaimed rubber enterprises participated in the forum. At the meeting, the delegates gave detailed reports on the current situation of waste tires flooding in China and the lack of corresponding support for recycling companies in terms of policies and taxation. Delegates called for the issuance of the “Administrative Measures on the Recycling of Waste Tires” and other related laws and regulations as soon as possible to support the healthy development of the waste tire recycling industry and put forward some positive ideas and suggestions on this, such as the establishment of waste tire recycling. Utilize funds to uniformly recycle used tires, provide preferential policies such as VAT reduction and exemption for used tire recycling, processing, and utilization enterprises, and strictly regulate the recycling market of used tires, and strengthen the coordinated operation of waste tire recycling-related industries.
