This technology was first introduced by Heidelberg at the International Printing Exhibition in the early 1990s. Since its launch, it has installed more than 1,000 units, of which more than ten have been introduced in China, mainly printing 200-5,000 copies of color short-page works. This technology is a digital printing process that combines plate making and printing. Special equipment and anhydrous offset plates must be used. All raw materials need to be imported.

CTPâ…¢ computer direct printing

For the first time in 1993, Agfa, IBM, Xerox and other companies successively produced their respective digital printing machines. The current installed capacity has reached more than 2,000, including 20 in China, with a resolution of 600-800dpi. Due to its low resolution and small format, the printing speed is slow, which is not very good in China. The printing principle is to use a special photoconductor film installed on the printing cylinder in advance, and the laser beam controlled by the computer is output to the surface of the printing cylinder Forming latent images and printing with toner or electronic ink is still in the initial stage of development.

The digital proofing system is developed on the basis of color printing technology. As long as various printing methods have the color management and pre-calibration functions required for printing, sufficient resolution and output format can form a digital proofing system. The physical parameters of the paper used for digital proofing in foreign countries are also gradually approaching that of ordinary paper, and some can already use newsprint.

Because the digital proofing system has simple proofing process, fast speed, consistent output results for many times, and meets the requirements of proofreading and reliability, the digital proofing system will soon be practically applied in China's printing industry, especially newspaper printing. CTPâ…¤ computer inkjet printing

Also known as pressure printing, the process is that the computer controls the inkjet head to spray very small ink droplets directly onto the paper to form graphics. The actual printing in the printing industry was more successful in the late 1990s by Israel's sclterx6240 digital printing press. CTP â…¤ is completely different from the current conventional printing process. The fundamental difference with CTP â…¢ is that CTP â…¢ is printed with plates; CTP â…¤ is printed without plates.
