DuPont's latest advanced material products will come from a new generation of nanocrystalline metal/polymer hybrid technology that can be used to produce ultra-light components needed in sports equipment. This new material has the same strength and hardness as metal, while at the same time it has the advantages of high-performance elastomer flexibility and light weight. However, according to Catherine Andriadis, DuPont's public affairs manager, this material is still in the early stages of launching the market. At the end of October 2007, DuPont started to establish technology alliances with Morph Technology Co., Ltd., Integran Technology Co., Ltd. and Power Metal Technology Co., Ltd. to develop and commercialize this technology.
