How gravure printing uses ink

1. The printing plate adopts electric engraving or laser printing. The depth of the printing plate is between 15μ and 20μ. This is because the ink is produced using tap water, and the boiling point of the ink is higher than that of the solvent. The shallow version can increase the printing speed and avoid the appearance of water ripples. If printing with solvent ink at 35μ to 40μ depth or more, it will produce water ripples, and the use of ink and water printing on the printing plate more than 25μ will also have water ripple phenomenon. It is important to use a good printing plate.

2. Good drying equipment, the drying temperature should be based on the different substrates, the size of the printing area, such as the printing of the metal foil, the drying temperature is above 100 °C, and the printing and drying temperature of the plastic film is 60 °C -80 °C is appropriate, the wind should be stronger than the use of solvent ink printing, because in addition to temperature, there should be a strong wind, so that the ink can be loaded on the substrate to quickly dry.

3. In addition to metal foil, vacuum aluminized film, paper, all plastic films need to be treated with electric sparks prior to printing with ink. The surface of the plastic is due to more than 40 to 42 and the water used as the main solvent for the production of ink, due to water The surface tension is about 72 dyne, so the difference between the tension of the ink and the tension of the film affects the adhesion, thereby increasing the surface tension of the plastic film and enabling the printed image to have a good adhesion.

4. Before printing, after the ink is poured in the ink tank, the printing plate idles for 2-3 minutes. The purpose is to moisten the printing plate and stir. In the printing process, when the printing product needs to stop printing, it must not be allowed to print. The plate stops rotating to prevent the printing plates from causing stencils.

V. Before printing, adjust the printing viscosity according to the depth of the edition. Try not to add tap water during the printing process. Just add the new ink with the same viscosity. The volatilization is only 1.2%, and the change in viscosity is small, so the ink keeps the color of the print product consistent and improves the pass rate of the printed matter.

6. After printing, clean the plate immediately, pour the ink into the bucket, place the clean water in the ink tank, rotate the plate for cleaning or adjust the 3% detergent solution for cleaning.
